The feature of the Athlon64 series of Socket939 is to build in the dual channel DDR memory controller. And, the width is 128 bits. The Athlon64 X2 Dual-Core processor has the best performance in these CPU with Dual-Core Opteron.

Athlon64 is a single core. Athlon64 FX also has not only Single-core but also the product of Dual-Core. However, the FX obtains a high performance because it operates by a high frequency. Even if it is either dual-core or single-core, a present main is 90nm process product.
